Coming this Easter Season

News , , ,

Easter is not the end of Holy Week but the beginning of the season of resurrection. In the 50 days between Easter Sunday and Pentecost Sunday we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and explore how God is working through the resurrection life of Jesus to help us become the people God has created us to be.  It is a time to dream big, try on new ways of being, and most importantly, to follow Jesus Christ where he wants to lead you. At St. Nick’s we have two “kick-offs” for the Easter Season.  The first, of course, is Easter Sunday itself. Our second Easter Season kick-off comes on the 2nd Sunday of Easter at 10:00am, when we celebrate the “Stations of the Resurrection,” a cross between a service of “Lessons and Carols” and a “Stations of the Cross,” in which we re-enact and remember the resurrection appearance of the risen Christ. Watch this space for more exciting Easter season activities…
